5 Reasons Women Should Feel Powerful

As a mother, I get stints of feeling guilty for working so much or even thinking of going somewhere by myself. The last one I had, was hopefully my last because a great point was brought to me by my other half.
"You are a woman that goes out every day, puts up with bull shit, and comes home tired in order to support your family. The only thing you should feel from that is powerful. Any man who thinks they've got it together should take a look at what you do and feel their dicks get smaller"
Working isn't the only way or reason for women to feel great about ourselves. We are all wondrous creatures who should demand respect for many reasons.
Women's Intuition is a Thing
It may be seen as a myth by some, but you can't deny that it's proven itself a time or two. Research done by 'Psychology Today' shows that our empathy, emotional awareness, and openness is what gives us the intuitive abilities. They are not so much supernatural powers as a historical social adaptation. As we were lower in social power, women spent more time observing and scrutinizing those higher in power. Our brains use past experiences on a subconscious level to assist in decision making. It's even possible that evolution has selected females who have better ability to decode the needs of others.
Side Note: If you're not family or close friends, chances are I don't give a shit about your needs. Wasted evolution?

We Have to Work Harder for Respect
Whether it be in the work place or doing business for the household, women are viewed by many as the weaker sex, even if it's not intentional. On almost a daily basis, I have to prove my competence in one way or another. It isn't until my confidence and knowledge shows that people realize I am a person to be respected (or else). I don't think people mean for it to work that way. Unfortunately, it's a social habit.

Women Live Longer
Can it be said that this means the world wants us more around more than men? Probably not, but it sounds good. It turns out that females in many species live longer, not just humans. The true, scientific answer as to why, is deep in our biology somewhere. You'll never get rid of us, no matter how hard you try. Mwa Ha Ha

We Aren’t Afraid To Show Emotions
Emotions don't make us weak, they keep us from bottling stuff up and leading to greater problems. A tear doesn't make you fragile, it reminds us that we are human and we are handling it. Never feel ashamed for speaking your mind, thoughts, and feelings. Speaking up for yourself (or others) can be one of the most powerful things you can do.

We Multi-Task on an Insane Level
This is an obvious point for anyone who has been pregnant. We can grow a human life inside of us while we go about our daily lives. Yea yea, there has to be sperm to make a baby... but that only takes a few minutes (or seconds), the rest of it is on us. Life, work, and school don't stop just because we feel like a walking house, our ankles are so swollen we're not even sure if they can be considered ankles anymore, and our boobs are leaking mysterious unnecessary (for the moment) liquids.
